Maona Wrack
This wreck lies approx. 3 nautical miles from the coast at a maximum depth of 40 meters. Forty is the name of the game here because she is just 40 meters long and there is a lot to discover on these 40 meters. Sunk during the Second World War and used as a tugboat, the Maona still has its old on-board cannon on the foredeck.
We don’t dive into the wreck, the outside area is spectacular enough. Many schools of fish can be seen, lobsters as well as the herring king are inhabitants of the wreck. Shoals of cod, octopus and cuttlefish make the dive a special place. With a width of 8 meters, the Maona is a really nice wreck to dive.
